Expertise does not mean using big words.  Expertise comes from years in the trenches, and is built from the ground up.  

Out team has over 30 years expertise in the nonprofit and charitable sector.  We have held management positions of large and small organizations for 20 years with annual budgets in the millions.  Our approach is straight-forward without the technical jargon.  We aim is to make your non-profit better, more efficient and more effective in being able to reach your goals.

Non-profits have different financial reporting needs. Accountants in the business world often don’t understand this.  We do; we have overhauled financial reporting systems and accounting structures to improve the fiscal management of organizations of all sizes.

Our team is also intimately familiar with facilities and their issues.  As technology has improved, our facilities have become much more complex and technological.  The modern Facility Manager is expected to know about Building Automation Systems, environmental concerns, utility consumption and more.  Moreover, with today’s political climate, security issues are often pushed to the forefront.  

Simplicity Consultants is led by Marc Bookbinder, our visionary Team Leader, who is a recognized leading industry expert, and has lectured at international conferences to executive directors on a multitude of topics, and is a Past President of STAT (The Synagogue & Temple Administrators of Toronto).  He has worked with the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto in their Annual Campaign department as well as their Bequests and Endowments division.  

He received his MSW from The University of Toronto, specializing in Program Evaluation and Organizational Design.  Marc can speak the jargon, but doesn’t: has a Six Sigma Green Belt equivalency, and is trained in Lean and Agile Program Management, as well as Socio-Technical System, Continual Quality Improvement and Total Quality Management.  He has an Honours Bachelors of Arts in the Philosophy of Science and an Honours Bachelors of Arts in Experimental Cognitive Psychology.  He has conducted research and co-authored in The Canadian Journal of Experimental Psychology.
